Nothing upgrades your outfit like a good nail color! These are some of my favorite colors of nail polish for Valentine’s Day. They lean towards the more traditional Valentine’s Day colors so pink and red.
ASAP Apple by Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI
A list of nail polishes for Valentine’s Day has to include a good red nail polish. Well, this nail polish has been the most perfect red nail polish I have come across! It’s not too orange or too dark. It kind of looks like a neon red in the bottle, but it applies really great. It really feels like a neutral, basic red color. Plus, it goes so well with my skin tone!
If your Valentine’s Day outfit consists of basic and simple colors, then this red color would be the perfect choice to add a pop of color to your outfit! Personally, I’m a big fan of all black with pops of red. Is it basic? Probably!
Eternal Optimist by Essie
This pink color is a bit muted but is still a great nail polish for Valentine’s Day! It reminds me of the dessert color palettes made up of pinks and browns. This pink is more of a subtle and soft pink to wear. To me, it looks like a mix between terracotta and pink.
I think this would be a great pink to wear with a brown or tan outfit. I think it would also go great with some gold jewelry for that romantic aesthetic.

Lovers Suite by Ella + Mila
This nail polish is a pinkish white color. It’s a lovely lighter nail polish for Valentine’s Day. If you like using accent colors on your nails, I think it would make a great color combo with the previous color, Eternal Optimist. If you like brighter colors, then this would be a better choice. Also, if you decide to go with a darker outfit theme, then this would be a great contrasting color.
Favorite Top Coat
I love to use the Ella + Mila In a Rush Top Coat for all of my nail polishes. First off, it’s the quickest drying top coat I’ve ever had. In about ten minutes, the top coat will have fully developed. However, I like to wait a full hour just to make sure all the layers have fully dried.
Secondly, this top coat is glossy. It’s why I would definitely recommend this top coat nail polish for Valentine’s Day. It’s like the equivalent of adding a clear gloss to your lipstick. I like to do two coats to get the full coverage and glossy effect. I usually do a thinnish coat the first time, then a thicker coat for the second top coat.
